What is goose?
goose is an open-source agent for people who want a model to work with tools on their own computer. Developers can use its desktop application or command line to carry out coding tasks, while the same agent also supports research, writing and data work. MCP extensions connect the conversation to external systems; installing an extension therefore changes what the agent can access and do. Reusable skills supply task instructions, and recipes package a workflow with its configuration so it can be shared or run again.
