$13 monthly Heroku platform credits for 24 months for eligible students
Heroku’s GitHub student offer supplies platform credit for learning to deploy and operate applications on its managed runtime. Approved students receive $13 per month for 24 months, rather than a single unrestricted $312 balance they can spend at once. The credit can cover Heroku products such as dynos, Postgres and Key-Value Store, but excludes paid third-party add-ons. A valid credit or debit card is required, and usage beyond the monthly credit is charged to that card. Unused monthly credit expires, the first allocation begins on the first day of the approval month, and resources must be shut down or paid for after the benefit ends. This makes the offer useful for a modest student project, with monitoring of resource costs remaining essential. Offer terms: $13 monthly platform credit for 24 months ($312 total advertised value). Unused credit does not roll over. First allocation starts on the first day of the approval month. Excludes third-party paid add-ons and Teams accounts. A valid payment card is required; overages are charged. Previous participants in the current program cannot reapply. No public application end date was established. Application and redemption were not tested. Eligibility: GitHub Student Developer Pack members aged at least 18, subject to Heroku application approval and account requirements. Reference price: $312 is the vendor-stated total allocation over 24 months, not a cash payment or a measured discount against a purchased plan. Redemption not independently tested.
